Water is a scarce, valuable resource that demands careful handling. One important aspect to consider, are intact water line networks that ensure a leak-free transport.

A prerequisite for this is maintenance measures, which among other factors, includes the rehabilitation of pressure pipelines. Primus Line® is a sustainable alternative to the open trench construction method that often is more time-consuming and involves higher construction costs in comparison.

With a system for trenchless rehabilitation, traditional dig and replace becomes unnecessary: Small construction pits, or chambers, suffice for feeding the liner into the existing pressure pipeline and installing the connectors.

Due to its features, the liner remains independent from the existing host pipe and is deployable in all common pipe materials. The inner layer of the W-Liner is ideally matched to the medium water and makes for optimal flow-through characteristics.

In particular, for the transport of potable water, high requirements apply to the material used. Primus Line® is certified for the use with potable water in 21 countries.

Primus Line® is especially suited for the following conditions

Type of pipeline

  • Drinking water pipelines
  • Production water pipelines
  • Sewage pipelines
  • Industrial water pipelines (Verification by our engineers required)
  • Sea water pipelines
  • Brine pipelines
  • Chlorine water pipelines

Pipe material

The Primus Line W-Liner remains independent from the host pipe material. For example, the following materials that are often used in the water sector:

  • Asbestos cement
  • Cast iron
  • Glassfibre reinforced plastic (GRP)
  • Grey cast iron
  • Polyvinyl chloride (PVC)
  • Polyethylene (PE)
  • Steel

Location of the pipeline

  • Transport pipelines
  • Culverts
  • Crossing pipelines
  • Bridge pipelines
  • Inner-city supply pipelines
