Modernised infrastructure – Primus Line switches to new ERP system

In a record time of only eleven months, Primus Line has been switching to a new ERP system. Now, all processes from construction to dispatch are digitally intertwined across all company sites. Which are the important gains in handling that this new ERP system has to offer?

With our product Primus Line®, we contribute to improve and maintain the supply infrastructure, and this with very short installation and assembly periods. In a record time of only eleven months, Primus Line last year adapted their own infrastructure to present and future demands and has introduced a new system for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).

For you as our customer or partner, this switch took place almost unnoticed. As usual, you receive your quotations, stock or delivery information. Superficially, nothing seems to have changed.

In the background, however, all value-adding and non-value-adding business processes along the entire value chain have been restructured. The main focus was on more efficiency and more transparency of the processes in the ERP system across all our sites. The departments from Purchase over Production Planning, Quality Management, Commercial Handling up to Logistics profit from this. Thus, handling is considerably facilitated: A uniform data pool like central article master data, optimally balanced production or easier batch and serial number tracking are just some advantages. Another is the integration of the CAD environment used at Primus Line so that information from Development and Construction can flow smoothly via Production up to Commercial Handling.

With the digitalisation along the entire value chain, the more intensive interlinking of individual business units and an improved data quality, the new ERP systems makes us future-proof for handling the Primus Line projects. Thus, Primus Line is the pioneer in the Werner Rädlinger Group whose other companies will also switch to this ERP system in the years to come.
