When and how did you join Rädlinger Primus Line? What made you decide to join the company back then – and what keeps you here to this day?
I was out jogging with our owner, Werner, and he said that now was the right time to launch Primus Line® internationally. So he needed people with international experience and language skills. And just like that, I was a Primus Liner!
Which moments or projects do you particularly enjoy looking back on?
The inauguration of the 3-in-1 pipeline in Sicily. A high-ranking and extremely important politician attended the event. He was told that I was there as a representative of Rädlinger Primus Line from Germany. He rushed over to me, shook my hand and said: “I studied in Heidelberg!”
„The know-how we have built up as a company over the years sets us apart from the competition and makes us the global market leader in our sector.“
In your view, what has changed the most – in technical, organisational and/or on a personal level?
Relationships between colleagues were good right from the start. Even following the company’s growth, that has not changed.
Which developments in your department were real milestones for you?
The introduction of a quotation tool. Before that, EVERYTHING was typed out by hand in Word and copied and pasted from old quotations, which was extremely prone to errors.
Which skills or values from your early days are still important today, and why?
Short lines of communication and direct, open dialogue. The boss’s door is always open.
You are now an expert in your field. What does experience mean to you in your day-to-day work?
Experience is everything. The know-how we have built up as a company over the years sets us apart from the competition and makes us the global market leader in our sector.
When you think about the future development of the company and/or the product, what are you particularly looking forward to?
Larger diameters: something our customers have been wanting for ten years.
And finally: what message or best wishes would you like to share with the company to mark its 25th anniversary?
Dear Primus Line, stay true to your roots and never forget where you came from.
