Early entry expeditionary liquid logistics distribution in contested environments
Future military operations require dispersed, resilient fuel and water distribution in contested environments. Infrastructure may be damaged or non-existent and military forces are increasingly vulnerable to a multi-domain asymmetric threat.
Primus Line® provides commanders with a modular expeditionary liquid logistics capability. It can be rapidly tailored to mission requirements. Individual hose line modules may be deployed independently. They can also be combined to establish larger fuel and water distribution networks. These support operations ranging from small forward operating locations to theater-level logistics hubs.

Reducing the logistics burden
- Rapidly deploy early entry expeditionary liquid logistics systems
- Accelerate Setting the Theater and Joint Reception, Staging and Onward Movement (JRSOI) operational phases
- Enable operational continuity in contested environments
- Reestablish bulk fuel and water supply after disaster or kinetic attack
- Support NATO resilience, interoperability, and modernization
- Reduce the number of convoys
- Reduce personnel exposure across all phases of an operation
- Reduce host nation and military infrastructure downtime
- Minimise excavation and decrease restoration timelines
- Decongest mobility corridors required for all other classes of supply
Military use cases
Primus Line® supports expeditionary and distributed operations:
- Fuel and water theater supply chains: from offshore logistics support vessels to expeditionary shore facilities and the inland distribution network (up to two miles in a single continuous run).
- Forward operating base and camp sustainment: fuel and water to dispersed positions without a tanker convoy for every resupply.
- Airfield and expeditionary airfield operations: rapid fuel line-in to support sortie generation at austere strips.
- Reception, staging and onward movement nodes: bulk distribution across an RSOM hub as forces flow into theater.
- Humanitarian assistance and disaster relief: restore potable water and fuel where infrastructure is down.
- Contingency multi-product fuel distribution: JP-8, F-34, F-44, F-76, Diesel over one deployable line.
- Contingency raw and potable water distribution: bridge a damaged or absent water main.
Primus Line® enables sustainment forces to rapidly establish fuel and water distribution networks while reducing reliance on vulnerable transportation assets and scarce contracted tanker capacity.
Operational reach
- Extends operational reach while reducing dependence on vulnerable logistics convoys.
- Restores operational sustainment in less than 72 hours following supply chain disruption.
