With Lukas Liu, Primus Line was able to win a new Business Development Manager for China, who already brings 10 years of experience in the field of handling pipeline projects. He also worked in the procurement management of a subsidiary of the largest pipeline operator in China for five years. During this time, he gained a lot of international experience among others in Germany, Russia and other CIS countries.
Based on his professional background, he now wants to push Primus Line with municipal and industrial customers in China. "My goal is to expand the market share of trenchless rehabilitation in China," says Lukas Liu. He is convinced that the opportunities for this are good: "Due to the size of the country alone, there are large stretches of water supply, oil and gas pipelines in China. The ageing infrastructure combined with urbanisation is leading to more and more pipeline problems." In this context, traditional solutions, such as open-cut construction, are no longer practical. There is a growing awareness of environmental problems. Water is becoming a valuable commodity that needs to be conserved. Industrial customers are looking for environmentally friendly systems with low maintenance and fast turnaround times.
