The interview

When and how did you join Rädlinger Primus Line? What made you decide to join the company back then – and what keeps you here to this day?
After my parental leave, further training and a period spent abroad, I started looking for a new challenge at the end of 2011. Although I had already been offered a job by another company, I agreed to an interview with Johannes Hötzl out of curiosity.
The interview went so well that, even on my way home, I was torn as to whether I was up to this completely new challenge. Everything was finally agreed on by both sides before Christmas 2011, and I have been part of the Rädlinger Primus Line family since February 2012.
To this day, I am proud to have made what was the right decision for me, enabling me to contribute to the success story of Rädlinger Primus Line.
Which moments or projects do you particularly enjoy looking back on?
The Messina project in Italy in 2015. I can still clearly remember the news report that over 200,000 people had no drinking water supply. We acted quickly as a team, and every ‘link in the chain’ played its part in ensuring that drinking water was flowing again in no time at all.
„We make decisions more quickly, tackle problems in a targeted manner and resolve them efficiently. For my team, this is a key component of our shared success.“
In your view, what has changed the most – professionally, organizationally and/or on a personal level?
The biggest change since I started working here has been the structure of the company – from the systems and modern working models right through to internal training programmes.
Which developments in your field were real milestones for you?
When I first started, I was surprised to find that documents were still being created in MS Word. Together with the IT department, we were able to successfully modernize this process. The introduction of a clear and effective document management system in 2012 and 2013 represented an important milestone.
Which skills or values from your early days are still important today, and why?
Reliability, because trust is the foundation of shared success.
Determination, because clear goals pave the way to success.
A solution-oriented approach, because for us there are no problems – only ways to solve them.
You are now an expert in your field. What does experience mean to you in your day-to-day work?
Thanks to the experience I have gained in my specialist field to date, we have been able to significantly boost the team’s productivity. We make decisions more quickly, tackle problems in a targeted manner and resolve them efficiently. For my team, this is a key component of our shared success.
When you think about the future development of the company and/or the product, what are you particularly looking forward to?
When people talk about trenchless pipe rehabilitation, they are talking about Primus Line®. We are increasingly becoming a brand name in our own right – and that is exactly what makes me particularly proud of the company I am privileged to be part of.
And finally: what message or best wishes would you like to share with the company to mark its 25th anniversary?
I hope that Rädlinger Primus Line will remain true to its core values, continue to make successful decisions and, by improving work-life balance, foster long-term satisfaction and success within the team.

A touch of nostalgia ...
