Situation

Oslo Kommune was confronted with the failure of a drinking water pipe supplying a busy industrial area of Oslo Sydhavna. The pipe with the diameter DN 355 runs beneath a highly frequented road on which trucks transport containers and various goods from and to the port 24 hours and seven days a week. In addition, the pipeline is located next to a railroad line which further limits the space available for the renovation works.
